I’m Tiffanee, a passionate Concept-Based educator that believes in an inquiry-driven and idea-centered approach to teaching literacy. I facilitate professional learning and create ready to use resources that make it EASIER for teachers to give their lessons a conceptual boost.
Our students deserve to have choice, to inquire, to engage their minds, and to be immersed in authentic contexts and compelling ideas. But... these types of lessons take time and expertise to create. And, time is often what we have the least to offer. That's where I can help!
As a middle and high school English teacher (for 20 years!), literacy coach, curriculum consultant, presenter, and professional learning facilitator, I am dedicated to helping teachers and schools bring deeper learning to life. As a National Board Certified educator with a Master’s in Special Education, I collaborate with educators worldwide to design learning experiences that promote equitable access, inspire inquiry, conceptual understanding, and transfer.
Through in-person and virtual workshops, MasterClasses, practical resources, and hands-on learning engagements, I support educators in refining their craft. As co-author of Concept-Based Literacy Lessons (Corwin, 2019), and course developer for Professional Learning International, I’m committed to advancing literacy instruction that moves beyond skills to foster real conceptual understanding.
